It’s my favorite time of year! I’ve been MIA on here the past week or two. I honestly just haven’t had time to sit down and write anything. But I’m back in action! Our Christmas tree is up and the front porch has been decorated. I have linked everything I can at the end of this post!
So I tried something new with my tree this year – ribbon! I know, I know. You’re probably like, “How have you never put ribbon on your tree before?” Well, because I’ve always done garland. Like always. But it was finally time for me to step out of my decorating comfort zone. And it was fun! Although I did have to redo the ribbon like 4 times. Ugh! I do like the way it turned out! But I wouldn’t say I love it. I think I will try a different technique next year.

I decorated the tree on Monday, it’s now Thursday, and because I have a (almost) 14 month old with sticky fingers, the bottom of the tree is already naked. Eh. It is what it is. Memories, right?!
Onto the front porch! Who am I kidding? We don’t have “porches” in Arizona. It’s more of a front patio. I kept it cute and simple this year. I’ve been loving the look of a rug under the doormat, so of course I had to do that. We got these two 3.5 foot trees at Walmart, but the pots were like a distressed gold. I didn’t like it so we painted them matte black and it made all the difference! I put twinkle lights in my wreath, you can’t see it in the daylight, but it add a nice little touch at night! Wishing you all happy holiday decorating!
