2021 Plans + Goals

Since it’s the end of the year, I thought I would share some of the things we have planned for next year and some of my personal goals. This year has been crap, and while I know that just because it’s 2021 doesn’t mean that everything is suddenly going to get better, but I think it’s still a good time to kind of refresh my attitude and optimism and look forward to what will (fingers crossed) be a better year. But with that said, this year has still had some amazing moments. A few that stand out the most for me is Mayson turning one, his first trip and beach experience, my sister getting married, and my sister-in-law getting married.

Looking forward to next year, I have a lot of plans for things I would like to get done around our home. Our first big project will be redoing the backyard. Mayson loves being outside, but with the way our backyard is now, we can’t take him out to play. So that is something we really would like to get done. We also have some plans for small renovations like the hall bath, and finally getting around to painting and decorating the master bedroom and bathroom.

I am not the type to set New Year’s resolutions, but there are still some personal goals I want to try and accomplish next year. BUT, none of my goals have a specific number (let me explain). I want to become healthier in my eating and exercise habits, but I’m not giving myself a goal weight or tracking my calories, or anything like that. I believe everything in moderation, but my moderation hasn’t been going been going well lately. (As I sit here eating candy and writing this. 😅)

I also want to dedicate more time to my blog. I don’t really know if that’s feasible with working full-time and taking care of my family, but I’m really enjoying it and I love having this creative outlet, so I’m going to do my best to try and share more!

I don’t want this to get too lengthy, so I’m going to stop there. But I do want to say this. This year has obviously been hard on everyone in a million different ways. So please, give yourself some grace. Don’t be too hard on yourself, and don’t stress about trying to make New Year’s resolutions and goals and all that crap if you aren’t feeling up to it. The fact that we made it through this year is a win, in and of itself.
